Quien iba a pensar que alguien se preocuparía por algunas ip’s abandonadas, pues podríamos recibir en el futuro excelentes remakes remasters secuelas y mucho más de Embracer.
Como muchos ya sabréis, a principio de este mes de mayo, Embracer Group compró Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal, Square Enix y todas sus IPs. Al realizar la compra, Embracer Group adquirió alrededor de unos 1.100 empleados entre tres estudios divididos entre ocho ubicaciones alrededor del mundo por 300 millones de dólares.
Ahora parece que tras leer parte del informe financiero Q4 de Embracer Group que se publicó esta semana, la organización ha comentado que ve un gran potencial en muchas ip’s adquiridas tras la compra.

Después del final del trimestre, fortalecimos aún más nuestras capacidades de desarrollo y cartera de propiedad intelectual al firmar un acuerdo para adquirir Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal y Square Enix Montreal, incluidos Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Thief y Legacy of Kain y otras IP
El anuncio obtuvo una respuesta abrumadora y positiva. Vemos un gran potencial, no solo en secuelas, sino también en remakes, remasterizaciones, spin-offs y proyectos transmedia en todo el Grupo
Así que por nuestra parte tenemos plena confianza después de estas declaraciones y tendremos que esperar para ver los resultados y que decisiones tomarán respecto a las ip’s que han adquirido porque son muchísimas, tal y como podeis observar en la siguiente tabla.
